Meet Our Staff

Our church & leadership is defined by our obedience to Christ. We have a strong desire to see people come to Christ, to be individuals who make disciples, and to see churches planted and revitalized around the world.

  • Brian grout

    lead pastor

Brian came to The Church at Three Trails in March of 2013, after spending 11 years in youth ministry in Texas and Missouri. He desires to see Three Trails be a strong influence in the city of Independence, to see the church live out the gospel on a daily basis and be all that God intended it to be, as seen in Ephesians 3:10-11. Brian and his wife, Sarah, have been married for 19 years and have three kids Ethan, Brooklyn and Payton. Friend him on Facebook or follow him on Twitter @BGrouty

  • Luis sanchez

    primera iglesia lead pastor

Luis was born in Mexico but raised here in the U.S. He and his wife, Nohemi, married on March 31, 2010. They have 3 boys together, Matthew, Joseph, and David. Nohemi was also born in Mexico and raised in the U.S. Luis and Nohemi recognize that God has been able to use this for the advancement of His kingdom among hispanics here in the U.S. Not only are they able to reach first generation hispanic immigrants, but since they connect with both cultures, they are able to reach second generation hispanic immigrants as well. Luis enjoys watching movies, traveling, water parks, and any other fun activity that he can do with his family.

  • Maria Beach

    youth Ministry director

Maria became a member of the Church at Three Trails in 2018. She grew up in Iowa and went to Simpson College, majoring in Studio Art. While at Simpson, Maria interned with New Heights Church for the high school and college ministry over the course of 4 years. During that time, she felt God's call to ministry and upon graduation, pursued a Master's in Theology from Midwestern. After meeting her now-husband, Joe, she moved to Missouri and together they found Three Trails. Maria's goal for Ignite Youth Ministries is to prepare the middle school and high school students to go into the world rooted in Christ Jesus and spreading the Gospel wherever God takes them after high school. Maria and Joe just married in Nov. of 2018 and enjoy watching Smallville or chilling with their two dogs in their spare time. Maria also loves running. You can friend her on Facebook or follow her on Instagram @missusbeach
